The Center for Substance Abuse Services is a department of Catholic Social Services of St. Clair County. Since 1971, it has provided the highest level of professional treatment for alcohol and other drug abuse or dependence in a trusting, confidential nondenominational environment
Purpose
Are you afraid you may have a problem with alcohol or other drugs?Are you tired of being controlled by your use of alcohol or other drugs?Not sure who to talk to?Catholic Social Services Center for Substance Abuse is for you. We understand what you are going through and are prepared to help you as you deal with the questions and problems you are facing. Professional counseling can help individuals to change ideas, behaviors and/or relationships that are painful or destructive and help promote a positive mental, physical and emotional well-being.
The Program
The Center for Substance Abuse Services staff work with each person or family member to design an effective individualized therapy plan to achieve positive changes.
We Offer
- Counseling for individuals, families and/or couples.
- Specialized substance abuse therapy programs and counseling specialists for children, adolescents, adults and older adults.
- Priority services for women, pregnant women and women with dependent children
- Basic and advanced group therapy programs with focus on:
- Co-dependency
- Adult children of alcoholics
- Relapse prevention
- Court-ordered services
- Children of alcoholics
- Community seminars
- Speakers bureau
- Program and personnel development for organization and industry.
- Substance abuse prevention services
- Beginning Alcohol and other Addictions Basic Education Studies (BABES)
Fees
The Center for Substance Abuse Services provides prompt professional service at an affordable rate. Most major insurance providers reimburse these services. For those without insurance, there is a sliding fee scale based on the ability to pay. Staff
All clinicians have a degree, are licensed or registered to practice psychotherapy in the State of Michigan. Substance Abuse department staff are also credentialed as certified addictions counselors.
